Skydiving in Queenstown, New Zealand: The Ultimate Adventure

If you’re seeking the thrill of a lifetime, look no further than skydiving in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Let’s do this!

Heading up a casual 15,000 ft on their Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft – “the Supervan 900”.

Known as the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown offers some of the most breathtaking scenery you’ll ever see, and there’s no better way to take it all in than from THOUSANDS of feet in the air.

Was I scared? Absolutely.

My dad used to be a professional skydiver and I VIVIDLY remember him taking my mom skydiving for her 50th birthday. WHAT CHILD WANTS TO WATCH THIS?!?!

Anyway, when I had the opportunity to skydive with Nzone, a reputable company that has been around for over 30 years. I knew I had to do it.

Of course, I was attached to someone during this jump. This man was my savior, and I’m pretty sure I fell in love with him. I’m SURE he remembers me. ;)

Going through the safety precautions made me feel super safe.

Once we were up in the plane, the pilot asked who wanted to go first. Me! I will always go first.

From 15,000ft we jumped out of this perfectly small plane where I freefall for 60 seconds.

That might have been the longest 60 seconds of my life. And the most beautiful. Despite my face on the photo above.

During this time, I told my tandem master about the movie Crank.. I’m not sure he heard me but again he was probably focused on trying not to fall in love with me.

Back to the fall, the rush of freefalling at 120 miles/hour is indescribable. The experienced instructors ensured my safety the entire time so that I could fully embrace the feeling of freedom.

Maybe I’ve been chasing that ever since.

Once I touched on the solid ground, it was time to process.

And the best way for me to process was to treat myself to Queenstown’s legendary culinary delights: a Fergberger. These burgers are iconic and even if you don’t go skydiving in Queenstown, you have to try one of these burgers. The line might be long, but trust me, it will be worth the wait.

If you’re ready for an unforgettable adventure, head to Queenstown, New Zealand. Skydiving is a must-do experience for every adrenaline junkie.
